Installed a new mobo reinstall windows?

Ok sorry this is a bit of a cross post, but do I just whack in my xp cd and tell it to repair the vers of windows already installed or do I *have* to back everything up, reformat and then clean install?

I've never changed mobo's without changing everythigg else before, so I'm at a bit of a loss.

You will probably have to reinstall Windows. I have only ever once maybe twice gotten away with Windows coming up and just requiring new driver installs for the new board. Best bet would be just to back up the drive, do the board install and try a boot to see what happens.

haha just realised I didn't bother to backup anything before I installed the board.

Don't know how I could be so stupid.....

I guess I'll have to jsut try a repair now and then reformat if it's really ****ed.
