I installed some new hardware to my computer, a motherboard being one of the items. I decided to Install XP Proffesional on it thinking I could just download the drivers offline onto a USB flash thingy. I found some thing online and put it onto the flash but when I put it into my computer, the device is unknown and I'm not sure what to do because I cant do anything on the computer! Help would be greatly appreciated.

1) Which XP service pack level did you install? i think you need at least SP1 for decent USB support

2) Is the USB flash device a U3 device? (e.g. an Sandisk Cruzer?) in which case you should remove the U3 functionality

3) Otherwise, do you have an OEM install disk (e.g. from HP or Dell) or is it a MS install disk? If an MS install you can easily create an SP3 installation CD. Google slipstream XP SP3

/* EDIT */
Oh. just occured to me.. i may need the chipset drivers before USB will work since it's a new m/b. In which case you may need to burn everything to CD
