Hey, well I just got my new sound card (audigy 2 zs retail) and I wanted to know how I should go about installing it.
Right now im on intel integrated audio ac'97. In the device manager, under sound,video and game controllers, do I just disable the things associated with the current onboard soundcard? The things under sound/video/game controllers is...audio codecs, intel(r) ac'97 controller, legacy audio drivers, legacy video capture devices, media control devices, and video codecs. So which of these do i uninstall/delete? and then do i need to disable onboard sound in the bios? after all of this is done all i need to do is install the soundcard and install the drivers/software it came with right?
