Installing HD on my Asus P5AD2 motherboard

I'm building a computer and need a little help. Here's my problem:

I have a Asus P5AD2 Deluxe motherboard and a Ultra ATA hard drive. On this board, I only have 1 Primary IDE connector. I can't hook up a single CD-ROM with my HD because the cable isn't long enough to reach from one drive to the other after connecting it to the motherboard. (The IDE connector just happens to be up where the CD-ROM is located) However, even if there was a way, I want to eventually add a DVD-RW drive, which means I'd have 3 drives to hook up with only 1 IDE connector to do it with. I haven't been able to find a cable that either supports that or is the length I need it to be.

So is the only solution for me to buy an IDE adapter card for a PCI slot?

or is there a way I can simply plug my hard drive into my IDE Raid connector with having only 1 hard drive?

OR is there some other solution???

Thanks for any response!

Well, after further research I've found out the best way to solve my problem is to just buy me a serial ATA hard drive and hook it up to my SATA connection on my board.

This is my 1st computer I'm building so I'm learning as I go!)
