I am using Windows XP Service Pack 2. In an attempt to install some software from a CD ROM, I am shown this message: "!607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime".
I visited Microsoft's knowledge database, and it seemed to me that I should try the Microsoft file msicuu.2.in an attempt to use fix the problem. The catch is, that it itself won't install. I get the error message "The installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists.....", etc.
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
