Intel 82579V issue

Hi all,

My new computer has a problem with the on-board gigabit ethernet it keeps dropping network connection every few minutes. I have tried many things including:

1) Updated Asus P8P67 BIOS

2) Updated Intel 82579V Gigabit Ethernet Connection Drivers from ASUS and INTEL

3) Changed adapter properties

- Recieve Side Scaling

- Gigabit Master Slave Mode to Force Slave Mode from default auto

- Interrupt Moderation from enabled to disabled

- Turned off IPV6

Nothing has had any effect. It has been such an annoying problem, I really was hoping to find a fix for this sooner as I know other people have had similar issues. Does anyone have any other ideas because I would like to use the only ethernet connection sometime in the near future. Having to run of an WPN11 netgear usb adapter at the moment.

Thanks

Uninstalled then re-installed using latest driver? Boot from an Ubuntu disk and see if you have internet access via the suspect network port. If you don't then probably your nic is knackered. Is it still in guaranty?

Yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest driver. I will try and boot from ubuntu and check it that way. Yes it is still under guarantee just a pain in the **** getting the mobo out after I've just put it in.
