    Greetings knowledgable ones,

I have a friend who is 100% bed ridden with limited use of his hands. He recentley upgraded computers to a P4 2.8 GHz, 1M L2, 533 FSB, 1 Gb DDR 333, 128 Mb 8X AGP, 40 Gb ATA 100 running Win XP Pro. Due to the limited mobility of his hands he depends on pointer acceleration to be able to access the entire desktop.
Currently he is using Intellipoint 5.0 drivers on his mouse.

It seems the "advanced" tab in "pointer settings" has been disabled in Win XP Pro. Can anyone out there tell me how to accelerate the pointer using this hdwr/sftwr configuration?

    Appreciatively yours,

    Zhad

Are you using an administrative account when trying to change mouse settings?

Also, you should consider using a trackball instead of a conventional mouse. With a trackball one doesn't have to move hands at all, just fingers.

yes, the changes are being made in the Administrator account and he does not have the mobility to use a trackball.
