Internet Connection Disappeared / Router No Longer Rocognised

I have a PC and Laptop connected via ethernet to my router.

This morning neither the PC or laptop recognised the router.

Turning the router on/off meant the PC immediately reconnected.

The laptop will not, hard wired or wireless. It sees other routers, just not my one.

I am running windows 7.

Any ideas?

Co-ordinate a full power cycle. Turn off modem, router and completely power off all CPUs (not hibernate state) . Let them sit for a minute, then restart modem, get green - restart router - give it 30 seconds - restart CPUs.

Examine Device Manager in laptop to see if wireless adapter is working 'ok'
If laptop adapter is 'working', uninstall driver and reboot laptop to force re-discovery of driver.
