internet, dsl, broaband speed

now my dsl speed is 384 kps and my ethernet apdapter is 100 mbps i download a file with a speed of 40 kbps. i wonder if my download will be more fast if i use a ethernet adapter 1000 mbps. also if i upgrade my dsl speed to 512 kbps but i stay with ethernet adapter of 100 mbps will it be faster than 384 kbps????

Currently, your ethernet adapter is ~250 times faster than your DSL. No, it would make absolutely no difference if you made your ethernet 2500 times as fast as your DSL :p

Yes, making your DSL faster will make it.. faster. (duh). :p

BTW mind your Bs (bytes) and bs (bits) they are different things and will make everyone else just as confused as you seem to be.
