I just bought this piece of equipment and successfully transferred 7 or 8 vinyls to my pc with ITunes. Suddenly today, after a few minutes wham! dreadful earblasting noise instead of music - turntable still turning. Tried other vinyls, same thing. Just wondered if anyone else had this problem and how they fixed it. Thanks.

You might have damaged your sound cards input circuits by overdriving the input from the turntable
