IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Blue Screen at shutdown

I have searched for info and have gotten thoroughly confused.


I keep getting that error followed with this line:


Stop: 0x0000000A, 0x000002D4, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000, 0x80523912


I am pretty new to XP and have no idea. I have checked the hardware in system properties for resource conflicts and nothing shows up. I have also looked at System information for conflicts and there is a few but none of the numbers match the error I am getting.

I have disabled devices and rebooted and did a step by step. Still happens. I have tried using system restore but the restore points don't go far enough back.

Anybody ran across this same error or have knowledge of it. I have google searched and it's like looking for a needle in a hay stack.

Go to the MS Knowledge base and search there for "irql_...." (your error). You have improperly installed drivers somewhere.

Remember the Search Function is your friend

I would say it is most likely to be a memory issue rather than incompatible/incorrectly installed drivers.

Also, it would help if you could post your system spec, or could put it in your user profile
