Is a pentium 4 631 enough to feed a x1950 pro

  1. I recently upgraded to a Pentium 4 631 (with hyper threading) from a Celeron D 352. I was planning on buying an ATi x1950 pro to play games such as halo, hitman 2, call of duty, doom 3 and Area 51 with all the bells and whistles. I would like to know if my processor is enough to feed the x1950pro. Thanks for any replies!

I'm thinking it would probably work fine and provide goo performance. I use the same processor with 3 Gigs of RAM and it plays BioShock reasonably well. If you decided to move up to a G80 processor I would recommend going dual core.

Reasonably well for me is 30fps on medium/low, I don't have very high standards.

Interesting, what GFX card do you run? 30fps is playable IMO
