  1. Hi guys,

    i need some advice,

is it worth upgrading my nvidia geforce 6600gt 128mb agp card to this:

till i can afford to get a pci setup in about 6 months?

    my specs:
    ANTEC P180 case
    ASUS a7n8x-e deluxe motherboard
    AMD athlon XP 3200+ processor
    2gb memory
    550W psu

    Few questions:
will i get a significant boost in graphics/performance to justify spending £130?
will it run ok on my system?
will it fit in my case?
will i need any extra cooling fans to run it?

would be grateful for any advice.

well your psu will suffice and this is a nice card, i would say you would see some performance improvements, but im not sure to justify 130 (euros is it?) sorry im in the us or i would reccommend you some cheaper cards, but this looks pretty good for your setup. dont take it just from me stick around and see what others say, im somewhat stuck to ati so im not going to reccomend an nZvidia card right away...

It is a decent way to prolong keeping the same PC. I would ,however, simply buying a new PC. With PCIe, it would be the best idea.

hey coldcuttin you mean PCIe right? :p I agree with beef_jerky4104!
yeah think u should just wait. no point upgrading your agp card if ure going to get a new setup..just use that old comp for other things than gaming :p
    agp is dying..=)
