Need help finding out if my hardware is compatible with Mandrake 8.1

I am an old Win2000 user and I am thinking about getting Mandrake 8 but I need to know where I can get drivers compatible for that os.
I have a Sound Blaster 5.1, Geforce 3 etc, but I am not sure if they are compatible when I move to Mandrake. Where can I check to see if my hardware is compatible or any drivers to get for my hardware?

Mainly, I am a gamer and a Level Designer.

Also, does Wine work under Mandrake?

    thanks

btw, my system specs (in case someone needs to know) are:

    AMD Athlon 1.3 ghz
    MSI Kt7 Turbo
    Sound Blaster 5.1
    512mb of ram
    Visiontek Geforce 3
    HP Cd-Rw 24x
    Buslink External Floppy Drive
    Microsoft 6000dpi Intellimouse

I don't suppose for a moment you considered consulting the Linux Mandrake website???

    http://www.linux-mandrake.com

the page to search for compatible hardware is here:

    http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/hardware.php3

I can't honestly be bothered, after this long day, looking up your hardware for you in the database, and I am sure that you can do this for yourself.

And yes, Wine works under Mandrake.

    Good luck.

Your system should run fine on Mandrake 8.x. However, I'm not sure how your Buslink External Floppy Drive will work. BTW, if you're thinking of getting Mandrake now, just wait a while and get Mandrake 8.2. It should be out soon.

    Good luck!

Wine works, but don't expect D3D games to work. Some old ones might work with some tweaking. OpenGL is the way to go!
