Is my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" (GT-P5115TS) completely bricked?

Last night I plugged my tablet in the charger for night and I went to bed, as I did many times before. Woke up in the morning, pressed the power button once to turn it on, and nothing. I have pressed and held the power button and the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" screen showed up, but was stuck on in, and did not proceed to Samsung logo splash screen for several minutes. I have pressed the power and volume down to get it reset, but since then it has been completely dead. I did not even get to the reset screen, nothing showed up.

I have tried the following:

• Changed the cord and charger, just in case
• Attempt to reset, but screen is black (no back-lighting either), no response at all.
• Disconnected the battery for few minutes (it reads 4.1V)
• Re-seated all the ribbon cables and connectors.
• Dug up the old battery and swapped them out, no results. (I gave it time to charge of course)
• Tried plugging it in the computer, nothing on PC or tablet

At this point the tablet is dead, no back-lighting, no sound, nothing no matter what combinations I try (I have been messing with if for several hours). The night before it was fine, I did not change anything, I did not install new apps; and the device is not rooted.

Any thoughts?
