Is the new google map and 3D and satellite imagery only available for the ipad and smart phone

  1. It does not say any thing available for a laptop.And only some desktop computers.

    What happen to the new google map?The new 3D and satellite imagery ? The ability to go back in time.

    It was working but not any more?

    I click in the 3D and satellite imagery availability of the cities and it does nothing.

    Works on both my desktop & laptop.

    As for the 3D, how are you viewing it? Won't see much if you're looking from directly above, but if you tilt your view, then you'll be able to see the 3D bldgs.

    It takes me to the classic map. I don't get any thing like that on my work computer.

    I'm using firefox.

    I will check on my other computer at home and see what it shows.

    I know google did say they where slowly rolling this out starting with only desktop computers than tablets.

    I get the same thing in IE11 but FF & Chrome works.

    Dug around a bit and found that IE is viewing Google Maps in lite mode.

    Never knew that. Well, I'll investigate it some more when I have time.

    I was using FF in my screenshot. I have seen the same screenshot you show which is why I asked. Odd, I say. :)
