 HI!
I posted a tread yesterday concerning a RAM problem! Unfortunatly i solved my problem, the ram wasnt compatible but it was supposed to be.... It was the model and speed i needed but didnt fit with the other ram i had in my computer.

I'm wondering now if the ram is still usable in other computer or is it burned?

Here is all the info: I have alraidy a 256 mb ram in my computer, i bought a new ram and i put it in my computer, everything was okay, i played all night long with the new stick ( combined with the other stick i alraidy had in my computer ). But on the next reboot, the system wouldn't restart. I pulled out the new RAM, and it rebooted. Everything was okay but the new ram i bought wasnt usable anymore....

All i want to know now is if this RAM is still usable?

Sorry for my bad english, my main language i sfrench

Thanks

ca va?

You couldn't burn ram with incompatible types. You could if you overclock them unstably and without proper ram cooling.

Try it in another pc. The worst case scenario would be no post(no video). A modern mobo would stop at power-up if it detects defective parts, and beep.
