Is there a way I can controll my computer with a gamepad

So here's the deal. I took an mac mouse and spliced the USB cord with that of an XBOX controller. Downloaded the XBCD drivers. This allows me to use my Xbox controller as a PC gamepad. So the question is: Is there a program that will allow me to use my gamepad to control my computer? You know like make the A button act as TAB and B ctrl and stuff like that.
