I'm not sure if this is in the right place, but...
My teacher is posting assignments online, and all of the assignments contain images that *must* be seen in order to do the homework. The files are in .doc format. I'm using WordPad to open them. The images in the files will not load, something about a graphics conversion filter missing. Is there any way to fix this? I think that .doc files are usually opened with MS Word, but I don't have that on my computer. I also have WordPerfect. In WP, the files will usually load about halfway, and then I get an error message, and if I'm lucky then most of the images will show up, but not all of them. If I'm not lucky then the program crashes altogether. What's teh best way to get *all* of the pictures to show every time?
