Hi Guys,

Pretty much since i've had this pc i've had this issue but its really started to bug me recently. My pc will randomly freeze for about 3 seconds when I'm gaming. Literally, stop dead for 3 seconds then continue on with a really solid performance. I don't get it. Playing the games I do it runs them fine and everything seems really smooth, but maybe once every 30 minutes it will freeze then resume. My specs are:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9650 @ 3.00GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 4094MB RAM
Hard Drive: 150 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280
Digital Audio Interface (SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio)
Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 (6002.vistasp2_gdr.091208-0542)

I usually play WoW or some FPS games and it runs them with no problems at all.

Is there anything causing these random freezes? Nothing is overheating as the, GPU temp usually around 55 with fans on normal. I'll tell the fans up when I want to become more extreme.

This is really confusing and irritating me. Any help will be appreciated!

Is there anything suspicious in your event viewer logs? that may give some cues. Also please provide details about your PSU.
