In the next few hours even more information on AMD's new baby should be out of the door, we have all been hearing about this 64-bit capable chip for months and finally the day has come, AMD will be officially launching the Athlon 64 and FX families later today.

AMD also said earlier today that it will webcast the San Francisco launch event. The live webcast stream will begin at 10:00 a.m. PDT (1:00 p.m. EDT) and conclude approximately one hour later.
