Hi I just finished your windows xp tweaks under the services section and where yours ended at wmi performance adapter, mine has one more that looks very strange...

Workstation creates and maintains client network connections to remote servers. Dependencies include : Alerter, Background Intelligence Transfer Service, Computer Browser, Messenger, Net Logon and RPC Locator.

Since this was not in your list and it is in mine I am concerned.

    Any advice?

I have these dependancies you listed for the workstation service as well. Its nothing to worry about.

You should be fine setting it to Manual.

Workstation will be fine as manual, but workstation is essential for normal windows operation. I recommend auto just to be picky.
