  1. I just registered and noticed some very experienced people helping others find their Start Button, so to speak. It must be a real pain. Just wanted y'all to know your patience is appreciated - and I hope us Newbies can contribute something valuable to this excellent site ourselves!

    See you around,
    Irish Eyes

I may be in the right spot...

After reading new comer "Irish Eyes" post, it would figure this may be a good forum to join...the first ever for me. A place to ask questions, no matter how basic, and people willing to answer. Is it proper to thank people in advance for help you haven't yet requested?? Off to fill in the profile and do some research, as suggested, before I ask...thank you all "helpers". It'll be nice to have someone around.....

Hi I'm new to this board too. I found you thru google. I think my name says it all slowlearner. I'm a 72year old nontech grandma. I hope you won't mind if I ask questions that seem simple.

    Hello

Hi, I'm new here also. I just wanted to say hello and then describe in the proper place my problem. I'll be 70 this year and love building my own computers, who says us old farts don't appreciate technology.
