Just wondering about my intel mobo

Hi guys

i bought an e-machines computer about three years ago it came with 512mb of memory, i decide to get another 512mb of memory to put in it but for some reason the board wont pick up the other memory.

So i though that the memory was not working and put it in the slot that was working and the memory is fine.

So my question is can i go to my bios bios/cmos to set it up to pick up the other 512mb memory stick???

I am not shure all i know is it is an Intle motherboard.
