I have a KASER Storage Vault, 250 gig. I used on my old computer (Windows XP) for backups.
I just bought a new computer (Vista Windows) and when I plug my Storage Vault into the USB there is no indication that it is recognized.
Is there some setup that I have to do to make my new computer recognize the Storage Vault.

Format the storage fault in Vista, under disk management

I have the same Kaser storage vault. I could detect the drive but pops up to format. Need to pull out the files prior to formatting. Could anyone pls. advise?

So you can't see any files? They may be gone already. Dale Fleury never told us what happened to his Vault

Thanks a lot for your reply. Yes, I could not see the files. The pop up window ask me to press OK to format. Do you think Kaser driver for Vista would solve the problem? Cheers.

Yes, a Vista driver might be needed if you can find one... Is your Vista computer fully updated to Service Pack 1?
