Need someone who can walk me thru step by step setting Keepass and Keeform on a USB stick...

I installed Keepass on computer...created folder "database" then created the database, saved in the "database" folder...
Created one item, email account for Gmail...copied and pasted the URL into the Keepass record, saved it...entered my username and pw in the record...saved it...
When I double click on the Gmail entry...nothing happens...if I Right click on the Gmail entry and choose Perform Auto Type...
It tries to open not Gmail but a URL using my password as the URL name....
I installed Keeform to the same directory as Keepass, it asks for the database location, I point it to the "database" directory but it errors and
says I must point it to "valid Keepass Password Safe directory"...which I believe I have...
So...I am missing something...i figgure if I cannot make it work on the comptuer, I won;t be able to make work from a USB stick...
Anyone gone thru this process???
