Keyboard not working after upgrading from Win98 to XP Pro.

  1. I upgraded my Win98 OS to XP Pro.
Everything works except the PS2 keyboard. I've checked the device manager and it's quite fine. Whenever i push a button on the keyboard, all i hear is a "beep" and that's it. I, however, realize that when i reboot and push "f12" the keyboard works in DOS mode and i could toggle between "safe mode" and "normal" but when it boots to XP operating system, it stops working.
I haven't tried using a USB keyboard yet because i don't have one. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

The first thing you should try is updating your chipset drivers. Go to your motherboard maker's website and download them from there. Hopefully that'll fix you up!
