Keyboard stopped working

Yesterday my keyboard stopped working out of the blue. It works in set up mode (at the very beginning you can hit one of the "F" keys and it will take you to setup ,etc.) but once it gets to log on, it won't work. When you check the keyboard hardware, it shows HID with a yellow exclamation point and mentions something about error 38. I am not that computer literate. Is there any simple way to try to fix this? I have a Dell Dimension 510.

You may want to try the following:

1. Unistall your keyboard.

2. Reboot.

3. Reinstall.
