  1. hi techspot.

combofix wunt work on windows 7, and i've tried using avg and panda scan but both came out with no result. i have also tried spybot S&D and Malwarebyte, but still cant get rid of the virus.

Sounds like a rel pesky one! The only AS left you haven't tried is SuperAntipspyware. Also, have you tried Safe Mode? One advantage of Safe Mode is that certain secutiry features are relaxed for this very reason, to allow spyware/virus hiding behind the security features to be removed.

ok, i've tried scanning it using superAntispyware in safe mode, but it only manage to clear some bad cookies. anyway, no sign of virus yet after scanning, and my pc still running good. will observe more first.

Is this malware adversely affecting your performance? You mentioned there are files being writting to your disk drives but you didn't mention any real adverse affects. Are there any?

I starting to wonder if there is a legitmate program that is doing this and you think it's malware.

the adverse affect is that it slows down my internet speed significantly, i suffer from delay and spikes while online gaming.

and the exe it creates will have a random icon too, which sometimes can be even street fighter's Ryu icon. anyway, after scanning with superantispyware in safe mode, i m able to play online games smoothly. thanks to almcneil!
