KT600 chipset worth a try?

  1. rbuck Newcomer, in training

    I was considering some variety of board with the KT600 chipset. Is this a good idea? Have a system now with an Asus KT400. I am not a heavy duty game player.

    my boss just got an intel 2.4 w/ dual channel ram included in dual modulesw/8oo fsb 8x agp with a geforce fx 5600 128 cd/rw, nic card, wireless keyboard and mouse, free shipping for 600 bucks..................now that's a deal...............me, i'm lookin' 64 all the way :grinthumb

    I don't think you'll be getting much extra performance from the KT600 unless you plan on getting a 3200+ cpu.

    The price tag on those boards aren't even much lower then a much more feature-full nForce2 board so you might as well get one of those.

    Unless you're a VIA loyalist, in which case, shoot.;)
