Laptop Lcd Dim Spot!

    According th this thread HERE those dim spots are sadly fairly normal with some HPs -

    "I had a L2000 and now a V2312us and they both have slightly dim lower corners.
    I don't think sending it back will fix ur problem, its a backlighting issue that exisits in all the l2000 and
    v2000z's i have seen. (which is quite a few)"

    Go to a local store,if you can and see if others have the same spots.

    dimspot? ok - oh you mean dead pixels! Most laptop makers will warranty if your dead pixel rate is greater than 3. In any case this is not acceptable. There are dead pixel programs to try and coax dead pixels back into normal mode but they are not 100% guaranteed nor should you have to use them with a new system. I would return the laptop for a refund or replacement. If you bought it with a credit card, you have more recourse.
