Laptop no video

My laptop, a samsung v20 suddenly started playing up yesterday with lots of lines across the screen which would make it unusable at times. Aftre trying device drivers etc. I concluded that the fault must be physical. In the end I traced it to the connector between the mobo and the display.
If in its normal, screwed down position, I now have no video.
If I move the connector slightly in one direction, I can manage to consistently get a good picture with no lines etc..

Thus my problem is how to sort this connection to make the laptop usable adain.

Are there ways to tighten the connectors, or are thin contact shims available??

Please help.

Problem sorted

In the end it was a poor connection on the cable between the screen and the motherboard (at motherboard end). Cable changed and now laptop up and running again. Yipeeeeeee.
