Laptop problem

Hi all,

My laptop is a gateway and is running vista. The battery on my laptop died so the computer shut off and when i plugged it back in and turned the power on I got the blue screen and my laptop continues to fail to load. I tried to boot in safe mode and run automatic repair (it was an option it gave me once restarting) but nothing worked. When the computer powered down because of the battery dying did it cause some hardware malfunction or something? How can I fix it, its only 2 years old

2 years is about it before any laptop needs a major internal cleaning or repair. It is possible that the dieing battery corrupted the hard drive's data. If you look up Ultimate Boot Disk you can create a bootable CD or DVD to troubleshoot hard drive and other hardware problems...
