Laser mouse problems

I recently bought an advent ade-LR1 3d laser mouse and installed it as directed on my new laptop. Everything worked okay for the first week, but it suddenly stopped being picked up by the computer. The buttons worked but the cursor didn't move. I uninstalled and reinstalled but it made no difference. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. btw its cradle is plugged in via a usb

Sounds like the mouse is broken. If it's still new exchange it for a new one.
