  1. Few things on the Internet are more annoying than trying to track down a noisy browser tab when you have dozens open at a time. If you’ve ever had audio-specific sites like SoundCloud, YouTube, Spotify and Vevo open alongside select...

15~20 spread across at least one or two windows is average for me. it sucks having to click through everyone of them to see which one is the culprit spamming the audio.

Currently I have 214 on 3 different chrome windows.... I like to jump back into stuff instead of opening another tab and going back to it... I hate being slowed down xD

214? That's down right impressive, how much ram does that use out of curiosity?

This still shouldn't really be an issue, with the use of pop up blockers, add blockers, flash blockers and a blacklist of sites I've never had the issue happen to me on any of my own PCs. But it has happened when using friends or work computers which use none of the aforementioned solutions. It's almost a hobby, blocking annoying garbage on the internet, and there sure is a lot of it.

Well not sure but with that many tabs with 3 chrome windows, 2tabs on firefox(hotmail, icloud), steam. skype, origin, sublime text 2 I am getting 24% out of 32GB Ram so its not too bad :)

Google goes back to doing something right. Let's hope the whole "doing things right" thing catches on when everyone else notices that doing things right improves user satisfaction and increases the user base.

And exactly how much of that is porn?

I noticed that today. Metro IE 11 does the same thing, at least for audio, not sure about other medias.

I still say Chrome is the best browser know to mankind at the moment & these thoughtful little inclusions just solidify my opinion.
  12. Wow, an original idea for Google Chrome that wasn't taken directly from a Firefox addon, I am impressed. However, give it a week and there will be a Firefox addon for this that somehow works better. :p

I like this idea... I've had to track down a tab playing audio from an ad many times. Very aggravating.

For any advertisers out there who like audio in their internet ads, if I come across an ad that plays audio without my initiation, I WILL NOT buy that product\service. Same goes for radio ads that repeat a phone number 3 or more times.
