Lcd monitor dispalys nothing after boot screen

amd 3200+ asus A8VMX ,samsung 740n
on strting the computer i get th screen saying windows xp but after that evrything goes black. th logon screen and everyhting after tht is displayed.
im convinced its a prob with th graphics drivers but i dont kno wat 2 do about it

So you're certain that the computer continues to boot, correct? I would remove the new card and run off of your onboard or old one if possible, install the drivers for the new card, turn off the computer (not restart) and replace the new card again. If you have the same problem try booting into safe mode.
