LCD/TFT backlight

    I read in another thread that an LCD and laptop TFT screen uses a backlight that needs replacing every 10,000 hours or thereabouts.

    If anyone has had a backlight replaced, how much did it cost?

    Because it will have to be replaced every two to three years, depending on the number of hours used, and, if other laptop parts are any guidance, it is likely to be expensive.
