Lengthy Startup Time

Hey,

I've run scans for spyware and viruses. I've also cleaned up my startup programs through msconfig, and I've deleted all my temporary internet files...pretty much, I've done all the basics. Recently my computer has still been taking a while to start up, though. I was wondering if someone could take a look at my Hijackthis log and see if there's anything unusual. Thanks.

yes there is still problems. you didn't run the advised methods prescribed at techspot. please go HERE follow the instructions exactly. then post all logs required avg, combo, and vundo etc.
it also important to change the name of hijack this and place in prog files within its own folder eg, C:/prog files/hijackthis/ analysethis_v2.exe.
you also seem to have a mixture of norton, zonealarm and bit defender.
norton and zone alarm are not compatible in the first instance. they will both take up lots of memory usage as well as fighting for first place on startup, so to speak.. you only need one good firewall and av programme. two or more is not advised.

Two things to guarantee a speedier start.

1.Uninstall Norton completely,(install AVG).

2.Go into msconfig and uncheck everything except Zone Alarm and AVG.

Voila !
