Lenovo has announced a collection of new products at their Tech World event in Beijing, including a Chromecast competitor simply called the Cast, two new mid-range and two new entry-level laptops, and a tablet with Windows 10 on-board.

The Lenovo Cast is a $49 media streaming device that connects to your TV via HDMI. The circular device doesn't have the same compact form factor as Google's Chromecast, but the device does support streaming of video and images over Google Cast (on Chrome and Android) or Miracast and DLNA (on iOS or Windows 8.1). It also supports Wi-Fi over 5 GHz networks, which the Chromecast does not.

On the tablet side, the second-generation ThinkPad 10 is Lenovo's first device to come pre-loaded with Windows 10. It's a productivity and business focused device, packing a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 display, Intel 'Cherry Trail' Atom x5 or x7 quad-core internals with up to 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, LTE connectivity, and a ThinkPad Pen Pro stylus.

Lenovo claims the ThinkPad 10's battery is good for 10 hours of usage, and there's a range of accessories to complement the device, including a folio or ultrabook keyboard cover, a dock, and a privacy film. The ThinkPad 10 will be available in August starting at $549.

The two new mid-range laptops joining Lenovo's line are the Z51 and Z41, which come with 1080p 15- and 14-inches displays respectively, up to Intel Core i7 CPUs, optional AMD discrete graphics, and up to 1 TB of storage. Some models of the Z51 also include Intel's RealSense 3D camera, which captures depth and allows you to scan 3D objects and control the laptop through gestures.

The Z51 and Z41 will start at $499 when they become available in June, though you'll need to fork out at least $599 for the Z51 with the RealSense camera.

And finally, Lenovo has announced two new Ideapad 100 laptops that, with prices as low as $249, will give Chromebooks a run for their money. The main difference between the models is the screen size (you'll have a choice of 14 or 15 inches at 1366 x 768), as both come with Intel Bay Trail-M N3540 processors, up to 500 GB of storage, and four hours of battery life.

The Lenovo Ideapad 100 series will go on sale in June as well.
