Limited or no connectivity

  1. Hi,

    Having been away for the weekend, I have turned on my desktop today and found that the wired ethernet connection is showing "Limited or no connectivity". I can access internet by wireless on this laptop and everything works fine. I have also disabled the wireless adapter and taken the same ethernet cable that was plugged into desktop and plugged into laptop and the laptop connects without a problem.

    Am I right to assume that this is a hardware issue on the desktop? I recently rebuilt the computer into a different casing and reformatted the hard drives however I have had the system running for over a week with no problems until today.

    Ok, does the desktop and the laptop using the same OS?

    If yes then try to unplug the network(ethernet) card and power on PC, then shut down and plug in and test if everything is ok.
