I noticed that the list of links to patches and updates includes some that go back several years. I recently obtained my computer, with 98SE preloaded, from a VAR. Not knowing whether everything was up-to-date, I used the tools on Microsoft's Windows Update website to scan the OS for updates. I probably have what Microsoft would have automatically added as of last September and I scanned only about a week ago for any critical updates. I think I also downloaded the cumulative update for IE 6. What I want to know is this: if I click on the individual links on TechSpot's OS Updates page, will I, in each case, be able to determine if my build of Win 98SE already has the update in question? Thanks in advance for your reply.
