    Hi everyone!


    What is the best (Free) Linux server os? I would prefer an easy to set up and run, I would also like a graphic interface b/c I am no good at command line interface!

    What do you intend to do with that server?

    Serve files, printers, web, database, mail, desktop, instant messaging, shell acounts, internet connections?

    And virtually any Linux can do any of these things. So just look up any of our "what's the best Linux distro" threads and make your pick.

    I want to do a very basic web page, as a test. And I want it to host mysql dbs.

    OpenSuSE, (K)Ubuntu, Mandriva, Fedora are user-friendly and any of these will do just fine. Just make sure you get the latest version.

    heck; you can load Apache 2 to your PC and get the same effect :)

    I even have it + MySQL loaded on my laptop!!! :giddy:
