I have the LDW-451s, and win. ME, and Roxio CD & DVD creator 6. The dvd drive needs no other drivers but the win. drivers. The only drivers windows has for it is a standard CD-ROM drive, so because of this my Roxio will not write dvds, only CD Rs & RWs. Can anyone help?

Where did you get that Roxio version ?

It could be so old that it can only burn CDs. Try doing an update or getting a more recent version of the software.

Yeah, Didou is right. It sounds like you've got an older version of the software. Since you installed the included driver, that leaves Roxio as the culprit. Try looking to see if it supports DVDS and that you properly installed your drive.
