what would make games load faster? (bf1942,wc3,...) i've got a 2500+@3000+ and 512 ram 1 of my mates has a 2.8ghz p4(512 ram) and it loads really fast and an other mate has a 2600+@default and it loads really fast but not as fast as the p4 he sais its the 1 gig ram that makes it fast but i'm not shure. is that it? or is it the cpu that makes it fast?

i know that but whatwould give the best result? ram or 2.8ghz?

Give best result? It all varies from different setup...so its difficult to tell which components would give the best game performing results. I don't there is a way to tell though. The best thing you could do is to maximise your pc's potential by tweaking it.

does a 8mb cache make much differents between a 2?
  9. LNCPapa TS Special Forces

Yes - I have both a 120 Gig 2 Meg Cache and a 120 Gig 8 Meg Cache drive and there is a very noticable performance difference between the two.

if you just have to have the fastest loading times possible then there is one clear cut choice go SCSI get a card and buy a Seagate Cheetah 15,000 RPM drive.

lol, if i had the money :D i've got a 80gb 2mb maxtor laying around
that'll be faster than my 40gb western digital (got the wd a year ago ithink :))
