Problem. I have two computers upstairs /downstairs. Upstairs is main one running vista with belkin router/modem broadband. Downstais computer XP with Belkin usb aerial ( or whatever). I use the 'set up a home or small office network' on my xp machine but the Belkin icon doesn't remain green (or red) it goes grey. I then can connect to the internet and I can read files that are on my vista computer. Problem, if iI switch off my XP machine or it 'sleeps' then I lose my connection and I have to reinstall the network as above.
So how Can this local network be 'saved' so that I don't have to run the wizard to connect? hope that is clear for all you experts out there

Are you using the Belkin Software, or the Windows Wireless ?

If you are using the Belkin and it doesn't remember your WEP or whatever, use the Windows Wireless Setup in the Control Panel, forget about the Belkin and it SHOULD remember the settings and connect automatically each time you boot

OR see if there's a newer version of the Belkin software as that obviously has a fault.
