Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury Review: Ultra Fast FPS Gaming Mouse

Also for those of you who would like to add to the discussion or read up on what is a scientifically verified "good mouse" then I'll dump this as reference for everyone. A reminder that the list is very much a work in progress. The community conducts a full battery of tests on the mice provided, so there are likely a few "perfect grade" mice missing from the list.

Please view the attached references in the spreadsheet and comments on each cell to read extended notes. Also a reminder that the suggested DPI range should be taken into consideration. They are only what can be regarded as "perfect" within the suggested DPI range (though many without a max-min range are not complete and require more testing).

Don't forget, buy a cloth top mousepad for your new superior optical LED mouse. I personally suggest either the PureTrak Talent (for less friction) or the SteelSeries QCK Heavy (the QCK+ is also acceptable, I personally prefer the Heavy to the Talent because I like a little more friction).

tl;dr - if you don't want to do any reading and just want the absolute best without headaches, get the Zowie FK1. It has what is widely regarded as the best optical LED sensor and true raw 1:1 input with no jitter or acceleration.

I personally use the SteelSeries Rival (which is a mod of the legendary sensor in the FK1, and I disable all the Rival software which can cause acceleration and smoothing, optimal DPI range is 800-1800 on the Rival).

REMINDER: Many of the perfect grade mice require overclocking the USB polling rate from, say for example, 125Hz to 500Hz to achieve flawless input. It is best to research each of the mice on the list to ensure no special requirements need to be met to enjoy it to its fullest potential.

I think you've misunderstood what I was implying here and I apologise.
What I'm saying is the rubber scroll wheel doesn't have indents or is knurled to make it easier to grip with the finger, it's smooth and my finger tends to slip easily on those types of wheels.
I guess I'm not the sticky fingered type:D

Sorry mate now I get ya ;) FYI it is pretty easy to grip though and does feel comfortable.

Please read the contents of my link provided (that you quoted by the way) before making a fool of yourself - http://www.overclock.net/t/951894/the-truthful-mouse-guide - and since you didn't post any actual mouse data (like the weight, material used in the mouse feet or the all important model number on the sensor) we can't make any reasonable conclusions to the level of terribleness this laser mouse is capable of.

It is a well sourced article contributed to by gamers and engineers alike. And your Silverstone case PSU mounting is still an issue, regardless of what you incorrectly believe, the ventilation is there to let you know which direction you should mount.

But to attempt to do your job for you (as a reviewer) a little, I'll guess as to which laser sensor is in the actual mouse. We have no way of guessing the "optical hybrid" sensor inside though. Judging by how frequently Logitech reuses old sensors in more expensive "newer" mice, I'd go with the S3095. Considering this mouse is a so-called hybrid, one would expect it switches from optical to laser at about 1600DPI or 2000DPI. Meaning after you increase beyond that threshold you'll start to see a 2-20ms smoothing rate, mouse acceleration, and insane lift height (not to mention sizable jitter on your surface, since laser prefer hard plastic top surfaces and optical prefer cloth mats) - none of which are desirable for anyone in any situation when compared to raw 1:1 tracking by a premium optical sensor.

Of course this is just guesstimation. I don't have the mouse in front of me and a screwdriver and the willingness to inform consumers before they waste money on a potentially crappy product.

Still acting like a child I see. The PSU orientation in the Silvertsone review wasn't an issue regardless of what either of us believe as it wasn't even tested that way! As the review stated that hardware wasn't tested and instead was used for illustration purposes only.

If you want to do my job as a reviewer start by reading the review and you will learn which sensor was used.

"Delta Zero" isn't the sensor name or model, that is a marketing term. But you would know that if you understood the product you were reviewing. Quit deflecting and being so stubborn, educate yourself and improve yourself.

Thanks for the advice but perhaps you should take your own advice. It always pays to read the content you are commenting on so you don't look like the fool, just as you did in the Silverstone review.

Hint read the very first paragraph of the conclusion.

Excellent review Steve. I definitely play a lot of shooters and I'm actually kind of looking for a new mouse since my Logitech G5 just failed me after 7 years of faithful service. At the moment I'm using a SteelSeries Diablo III, which is basically a Diablo III branded Xai or Sensei. It's a good mouse but the G402 or G502 are looking really tempting.

..... sie how much does the logitet 402 and. g502 cost or what evere the last one I tryed to spell but how much do both of them cost?
