For the past 2 years I had my logitech usb mouse and keyboard plugged into the ps/2 slots with an adapter. A couple of weeks ago I decided to plug them stright into the usb ports, but yesterday decided to switch them back to the ps/2.

First thing is I don't get the install new hardware notice. The mouse light's up, but the cursor doesn't move. The keyboard works, but doesn't recognize the special F-key settings by logitech. Reset the PC, no change. Reset the BIOS, no change. uninstalled/reinstalled logitech drivers, no change.

I can live with them in the usb ports and just go and buy/add a pci usb port. Let me know if I'm missing something obvious.

Fairly new MSI VIA chip motherboard. The logitech mouse/keyboard are a few years old. Running XP.

Ps2 isnt plug and play like usb. Try starting the pc up with them in the ps2's, that may fix it.
