I use nero burning rom to copy my mp3 files into cdr media. When I choose burn I close the wizard and in the Iso tab i choose Iso level 2 (max 32 characters)
    mode 1 Under format
    iso 9660 under character set
    joliet
allow pathdepth of more than 8 directories is selected
allow more that 255 charcters in path.

When I select "burn" i get promted that some files (with long names) need to be renamed to be compatible with the joliet format. Is there a way, if not with nero with another program, to burn files onto cdr with filenames of any length? As if the cdr were another hard disk?

Joliet format limits filenames to 64 characters. If you need longer filenames, you'll need to use Rock Ridge format, but it's not supported in Window$.
Also, if you get that message "files need to be renamed" etc. it could be that the filenames don't match the specifications. Forbidden characters in Joliet are *, /, :, ;, ? and \.
