loss of hal.dll in winxp raid

By lightfootjc

  1. I recently installed a raid on my MSI K8N Neo3 with Sempron 3000 using Win XP Pro. I set up a 4 drive Raid 0+1 and it worked fine for a few days. Then upon a reboot I received the mesaage that the C:\windows\system 32.hal.dll was corrupt or missing and that I needed to restore it.

The problem is that although i can get to the raid to see it using the repair option from booting from the WinXP CD I cannot get the Raid array to accept a HAL.dll which I had copied onto a floppy. I get a error message telling me that the file copy failed. Can anyone help? Thanks for any suggestions.
