I built my own computr in the summer and everything has been running smoothly, but in the past week my PSU has been acting up. I think its just the fan because sometimes when i turn it on it makes a loud moaning like a struggling fan. Do you guys suggest I just open it up and clean it out, or do you think i should look into buying a new one.

Any advice is appreticated and thankyou in advance.

It can be dangerous for an inexperienced user to open up a PSU, and the moaning vould have another source, especially if it's a cheap PSU. If you don't know what you're doing when you open it up, I'd advise getting a new PSU.

Just to make sure you don't hurt yourself, I'll second what Boogityboo04 says.

DO NOT OPEN YOUR PSU. Very dangerous.

Take it in to have it serviced by a professional, or replace it.

    Good luck!
